Shauna Ries, LCSW, MFT, APM
Shauna Ries brings a rich background of corporate and human services work to her role as CEO of IADR Global. She is a principal partner in Ries/Murphy Associates, founded in 1994, to offer educational training in stress management and conflict resolution to corporations, healthcare professionals, and the general public. Ries co-authored a book based on this dynamic training, entitled Quality of Life released by William Morrow and Company in 1999.
Ries assembled the initial executive team, and tapped key outside experts to help create a high quality graduate certificate program in mediation and conflict resolution. In 2003, IADR began offering online and live classroom graduate level courses for students entering the field of mediation and conflict resolution. As of 2007, IADR has successfully trained hundreds of mediators.
Today, Ries manages IADR partnerships with Colorado Technical University and Colorado State University with a central goal of unifying and advancing the mediation profession. Her mission is to keep IADR at the pinnacle of mediation training nationally and internationally. She currently serves on the board of the Colorado Council of Mediators and is on the leadership committee of Colorado NASW. Shauna lives at her ranch, Coyote Ridge, in the mountains outside Boulder, Colorado where she spends her free time riding her beloved horse, Big Sky. She is the proud mother of a wonderful son and talented attorney, Mike Herrick.
Holly Woods, Ph.D.
Holly Woods, Ph.D., has provided facilitation, training, and education in the field of human behavior and development for 25 years. She has researched topics in the field of youth development, family intervention, prevention and education, and designed innovative processes to conduct action research in communities. Dr. Woods also has management experience in multiple private and public industries, providing her with indepth knowledge of the corporate and workplace arena. She has also guided numerous individuals and groups in problem-solving and strategic planning efforts.
Dr. Woods’ advanced knowledge and experience in human behavior assist her to design conflict management and resolution strategies that incorporate behavior-based inquiry and diagnosis of conflict. Woods’ personal dispute resolution practice, Safe2Speak®, provides mediation, training, conflict coaching and facilitation for conflict management and resolution.
Holly Woods is also a writer, having published articles in scientific journals, trade magazines, newsletters and newspapers. She and her husband are raising four children in a blended family. Woods enjoys many outdoor sports and gourmet cooking.
Holly Panetta, J.D.
Holly Panetta is an attorney-mediator in Colorado with a practice in Mediation and Child & Family Investigation Services. As a contract mediator through the state Office of Dispute Resolution, Ms. Panetta mediates more than 200 court-ordered cases per year including divorce, child custody and dependency and neglect matters. Ms. Panetta recently joined the Institute for Advanced Dispute Resolution (IADR) as a faculty member teaching mediation courses through Colorado State University and Colorado Tech University.
Ms. Panetta also serves as a court-appointed investigator for high conflict divorce cases. Prior to opening a solo practice, Ms. Panetta's experience includes working as an associate attorney for a Greeley, Colorado law firm and work as a Family Court Facilitator in the Colorado Courts. Ms. Panetta attended law school at the University of Denver and received her Juris Doctor in 2003. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Colorado State University. Ms. Panetta is also currently working toward a Master’s in Human Development and Family Studies at Colorado State University.
Mary Chavez Rudolph, Ph.D.
Mary has mediated cases in the workplace and is a trainer and facilitator. She has made numerous presentations about conflict and collaboration at regional and national conferences.
She is an
instructor on Workplace Mediation and Dispute Resolution. Mary earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She obtained a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Innovation from the University of Colorado at Denver.
Dr. Chavez has been an Ombudsman since 1999 at the University of Colorado assisting staff, faculty, and students to manage and resolve conflict, complaints, and disputes through conflict coaching and mediation.
Gary Crist

Gary Crist is an accomplished mediator, trainer, facilitator and consultant. He has mediated cases involving divorce/child custody, e-commerce, small claims court, landlord/tenant, employment/EEO, restorative justice, and family disputes. In 2002 Gary founded Crist Consulting, a business dedicated to the ideals of conflict resolution and collaborative problem solving. Gary is a member of The Colorado Council of Mediators (CCMO ) and presents workshops/trainings to educate and promote mediation in the community.
While growing up in Nebraska, Gary began his professional background as a Social Worker where he worked for 17 years with families as an investigator with child protection. Gary has trained at the college level in the areas of dispute resolution, parenting, and child maltreatment dynamics. He has and currently writes a “Lets Talk” parenting column for two local newspapers. Gary lives in Windsor Colorado where he spends his free time riding his motorcycle, playing the Native American Flute and creating log furniture.
Rebecca Daniels
Rebecca Daniels is owner of LARSON CONSULTANTS - a mediation and workplace training agency. She commissions a team of professionals available to conduct alternative dispute resolution events for business and industry in the western states region.
Daniels holds a Master of Arts Degree in Organizational Management, a BS in Public Administration and Natural Resource Management from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, with studies in Ecology and Environmental Science. She maintains a Mediator Practitioner Certification by attending national mediation conferences.
Currently, Daniels is affiliated with two adult degree programs as adjunct faculty— teaching Mediation and Conflict Management. With a variety of careers over 20 years, she and her husband, US Navy, Ret., share the house with two personable cats. Three adult children are starting their own families.
James (Jim) Siefken
Jim Siefken has been working in the construction industry for over 30 years. His duties have ranged from laborer to Project Manager in the Federal Government, State Government and private sector projects. Jim earned a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management and a Masters of Education in Organizational Performance and Change.
Jim has been mediating since 2001 and enjoys bringing the parties' situations to positive solutions. Jim's experiences are not limited to construction; but also includes workplace issues, homeowner associations, community cases and landlord tenant issues.
